Battlefield: Bad Company for the Xbox 360

The Battlefield series, once just a mainstay in the PC gaming world, has crossed over into the console scene lately. While the series has not had as rabid of a following in console gaming as it had in the PC world, the newest release for the Xbox 360 console, Battlefield: Bad Company, hopes to change that trend. Keep reading while we gauge its chances.

This latest edition in the Battlefield series has a good chance of gaining quick popularity due to its gameplay, that hopes to change the face of war games via its new Frostbite engine. Unlike other war games in the past, where you could run for cover into a building or behind stationary objects such as walls for perpetual cover, the Frostbite engine incorporated into Battlefield: Bad Company creates situations where buildings or other props used for cover can be destroyed at any time, leaving you vulnerable.

This revolutionary introduction into the war gaming world adds to the realism of the experience and could very well create new fans of the genre. Battlefield: Bad Company is also the first story-based game in the series. Battlefield: Bad Company for the Xbox 360 can currently be purchased at the closest gaming store near you.
