All About Black Friday - The Rest of the Season

If you miss out of these deals, you’re not out of luck. The economy is downright ugly right now, and it’s being predicted that people aren’t going to be spending as much as they have in previous years. Because of this, many retailers are gearing up for some other great deals between Black Friday and Christmas. Last year Wal-Mart had deals on Fridays all month, and they were just as slick as the Black Friday deals, if not better! For the past few years, Amazon has had weekly deals that the users vote on, and at the end of the week, some people get the chance to buy the deal if it wins that week.

    Tips, Tricks, and Hints

I have summed up the good deals for a few stores, but entire ad circulars can be found online. There are tons of decent to good deals on many different things. If you want the door buster deals, you'd better start preparing on Thanksgiving Day if not soon. People stand out all night; some even start Thanksgiving morning. Many people bring tents and such for warmth.

The best way to get what you want is to plan out your day. You may spend the night waiting in line at one place, but after you're done there, where do you want to go? You won’t score another door buster deal, but there are still a lot of other great deals. Plan out your day before you start.

Stores don’t price match on Black Friday weekend, so don’t think you can go to one store and price match everything you want that day in one store. The best bet is to go in pairs, at least for bathroom breaks, and standing in line won’t be as lonely. For all those waiting in lines on Thanksgiving, good luck with your shopping!

    Conclusion

This year isn’t as hot as the previous few years have been. It’s probably due to the economy. There are some great deals to be found this year though. The big items this year seem to be the Xbox 360 and big HDTVs. Going through the ads, I have seen sizes from 19” all the way to 65”. You can find many different price points with all kinds of manufacturers. I have heard rumors that Samsung is bringing out some new models just for the holidays. I would do your homework first before buying a new TV. Samsung is a great brand, but no one knows if these new TVs will be up to the same quality as the rest of their lineup.
