Bluetake BT007SX EDR Bluetooth USB Adapter - Inside the Package

The retail packaging for the BT007SX is very simple.  It’s just molded plastic.  The package contains everything you need to get started in Windows or Mac OS.

The first thing I did was compare the model number on the package to the intended product.  It was, of course, the same.  Next, I compared the features advertised on the packaging to those on Bluetake’s website.

I was off to a good start.  Everything so far seemed to be exactly as was expected.  It was time to open it.  The package contains the following:

      1. Bluetooth EDR USB Adapter
      2. Setup Guide
      3. Utility CD

The Quick Setup guide was well-written and informative.  It was complete with pictures and documented the setup process very well.  While the Quick Setup guide did cover multiple products, it was not some generic guide.  It featured both the exact product numbers as well as images for each of the products covered.

The package also contained a Limited Warranty card.

Next, I examined the USB adapter.  It’s constructed of hard molded plastic.  The seams were in great shape and it appeared to be very well manufactured.  My one concern was that the male USB connector is at a slight angle to the body of the device.

Most people connect these devices while reaching either behind their computer or below their desk.  This misalignment could inadvertently lead to damage to either the device or the USB connector on the PC while plugging or unplugging the device.  However, it is very slight and never presented a problem for me during testing.
