Summing up the specifications, it is a standard 5-port gigabit switch with auto sensing 10/100/1000 ports. It is nice to see Belkin offering a lifetime warranty and free tech support. Inside the box there is the 5-port gigabit switch (duh), power supply, Quick Installation Guide, Warranty Card, and so mounting hardware. The mounting hardware consists of two screws, anchors for wall mounting, and four rubber feet for the switch.

Out of the box two things struck me. First was the wall-wart; I would have preferred that the power regulator was housed inside the switch instead of externally as a wall-wart. Wall-warts are an eye sore and cause havoc on most power strips. The second item was the front cable connectors. Especially for a SOHO (small office/home office) it would have been beneficial for the RJ45 jacks to be located on the rear of the unit. Both of these observations are minor and only present potential aesthetic problems.
