VIA EPIA M10000 Board Review - Testing

This board is no 'Speed Demon', or gaming machine, and the test results will not blow you away.

These numbers are very respectable for what this board was made to do.

Again, we see that this is not the fastest board, but it wasn't made to be.

Again, look at what this board is made for and why these numbers are as low as they are.

These numbers for Hard Drive Access speeds will also depend on what kind and type of hard drive you have in your system. A 5400rpm drive will have slower results than the 7200rpm drive I used today. With that in mind, a SCSI drive should produce a bit of a higher score if you use one.

PCMark2004 is a fairly simple tool to measure how your computer will run as an everyday PC and it also checks simple 3D performance. This EPIA M10000 and its onboard video adapter scores a 696. I didn't list it here but, this same board scored a 1109 on PCMark2002, that is quite a difference in score between PCMark02 and 04.
