So what can you do with this board? Just about anything you want. You can build an everyday box around this board for surfing the web, email and just everyday use. Or you can use it in a (HEPC) Home Entertainment PC, or a small home server, or a MP3 Juke Box. About the only thing you wouldn't won't to build around this board is a Gaming Machine.
I will be testing this board as a Linux box, Linux Server and an everyday Windows box. After getting the board powered up, it booted up on the first try without any hiccups, Kudos to VIA on that.

I have tried numerous distro's of Linux, but I always come back to Red Hat. Red Hat 9 installed like a dream, and it found all the onboard goodies without a hassle. The load time was pretty similar to my Red Hat server I have running my family home webpage. After having gotten Red Hat installed, I played around to make sure that everything was working properly and running smoothly.

Since Red Hat ran smoothly, I would guess that your favorite Linux distribution would run as well. The only problem you may have, depending on what Linux version you choose, is you may or may not have to install more software to get all the onboard goodies working. But if you're a Red Hat user, you shouldn't have any problems running the latest version.
