PC Partner ATI Xpress 200 Review - Conclusion

    Conclusion

It’s safe to say that the board is a mixed bag. With so many integrated components, and the performance of those components being as good as they are, it certainly makes this board an excellent value. The real downsides is when you compare it to a desktop which has seporate graphics, even the same X300 core, gaming performance is increased significantly. If you are looking for a budget gaming system though, you could always puchase a full graphics card and install it in the available PCIe 16x slot. Flexiblity at it’s finest, only a few things are lacking in this system such as dual channel really can only make such a small notice in performance.

    Pros

    • Decent performance for this kind of motherboard
    • Lots of BIOSs options for memory optimization and PCIe overclocking as well
    • Reduces overall system costs with integrated parts
    • Integrated video keeps the system low profile for very compact cases
    • TV Out is great for a HTPC

    Cons

    • No dual-channel memory operation
    • No video overclocking, but you can install a separate PCIe card if you want that
    • Doesn’t include smaller back plate for the video outs for low profile cases

I would like to thank PC Partner for sending us one of their motherboards to review. It certainly has some of the best integrated hardware I’ve seen in a motherboard. The quality of the board and components provided are top notch. Only a few things are lacking in the system, but in all reality they actually make the board more useful and price effective for HTPC and compact systems. Anyone looking for a board with all of the latest technologies integrated into one compact package should definitely try to get their hands on this PC Partner manufactured board.

       · What can i say, this board certainly suprised me in performance, benchmarking scores...
       · Basically the RC410 do not support Dual Channel Memory, this is chipset limitation...
