Installation
Of course the motherboard is the first component to go into the system. Before installing the motherboard in your chassis, be sure that the board will clearly fit. Install the I/O shield into the back panel. Once you are sure the board will work, it’s time to get it ready.
Some aftermarket heatsinks use backing plates to help support any additional weight. So if you are using an aftermarket cooler, you’ll need to install the back plate and mount the heatsink onto the CPU before you mount the motherboard in the chassis. Install your memory and drives onto the board, and connect your case’s front panel connections on the motherboard. Attach the power supply to the board, and plug it in.

After you have the system up and running with your operating system installed, you’ll need to install the drivers for all the devices in the system. Some things require SP2, such as USB2.0. After you have all these updates, all components should be fully functional.

The rear I/O shield has the keyboard/mouse 4 USB ports, Serial, VGA, printer port, Gigabit LAN, and Audio connections. The board is mATX so it would only need space for 4 PCI slots in the case.
