PC Partner ATI Xpress 200 Review

The PC Partner RC410MS7-A82C motherboard is mATX form factor with included graphics, a perfect fit for a home theater pc or any other compact computer. There are some great reasons for builders to consider this board, so read on for the review.

    Introduction

A lot of people tend to thing having a powerful computer system means having a very large case. I, at one point in time, had a chassis that was a towering 4 feet tall believing that anyone who saw my computer would sit in awe, although the components inside were not quite up to date. Lately it seems like there has been a move to smaller more compact computer systems which offer as much performance as their full size cased brothers.

Today we have what will be the beginnings of my adventures into a compact computer system. I plan to evolve this system into my High Definition Home Theater PC. Basically my goal is to build a computer system which will allow me to run all of my day to day functions, and also allow me to watch all of my movies and play my computer games on television. The key to this is that I don’t want a full sized computer case. A standard ATX motherboard simply won’t do, because I’d have to go with an ATX case which is still too large. And I’m going to have to go to drastic measures to shrink things down. mATX it is. And PC Partner is going to help out.

PC Partner is a world class manufacturer that provides PC motherboards and graphic cards and contract manufacturing services, they offer leading edge technology to system integrators, distributors and OEM/ODM customers around the world.

PC Partner has over 20 years of experience in developing high quality personal computer products, from home computers to the latest Pentium 4 LGA775 motherboards and ATI graphic cards. Their experience and technology "know-how" ensures the highest quality products and services to their customers.

PC Partner has sent us a very promising motherboard for review. The board has ATI’s Radeon Xpress 200 chipset integrated onto the board, providing 3D graphics without having to buy and install a card into the motherboard’s PCI Express slot. It also supports dual-core processors and 7.1/5.1 surround sound is supported. Let’s get a better look at everything.
