Epox 5LDA+GLI Motherboard Review - Features

    Features

A lot of features are packed into this small area. The Post Port, EZ Buttons, SATA, PATA, Floppy Interface cable, front panel connections, thermo stick, and Firewire chipset. The Southbridge is passively cooled as well, and gets mighty toasty.

EZ Button – A handy power-on button located on the motherboard to turn on/off the system easily, especially while debugging or testing the system

Post Port – An onboard LED-display trouble shooting device, facilitating users to detect boot-up problems.

LEDION – Onboard LED indicators to show the power status CPU, AGP and DRA. You know immediately where to look if the system fails to start.

Thermo Stick – Flexible thermometer to let you measure any temperature by software. It’s ideal for monitoring VGA card, chipset or even disk drive temperatures.

GLI – The new GLi technology makes it possible to install 2 PCI Express cards on the motherboard simultaneously, allowing you to connect multiple displays, and split graphics processing onto multiple cards which support the SLI interface

Piston V - Achieve ultimate overclocking with revolutionary 5-phase switching power. Using “true” five sets of independent switching blocks, PISTON-5 offers strong and stable CPU power while producing less heat compared to conventional PWM design.

The 5LDA+GLI has the 945P chipset, which runs cool enough that it can run perfectly on passive cooling, eliminating noise in the system by not needing an extra fan.
