This is the first board by EPoX to support the ULi M1697 chipset, the first chipset to support SLI mode besides the NF4 chipset. EPoX has done a great job creating a motherboard that has outstanding features at such a reasonable price. This motherboard is expected to be in the $85 range when it hits the streets. I found it to perform competitively when running against another motherboard at stock settings, but it really flew when I used its powerful configuration to overclock the board.
Overall, I’m very impressed with this board, and give it an 8 out of 10 rating. If you are looking to build a new socket 939 based system for a good price, and are looking to overclock, then this motherboard is just the ticket. I would highly recommend this product for that purpose.
I’d like to thank the people at EPoX for sending us this motherboard for review. If you’d like more information about this board, or any of EPoX’s other products, visit their website at http://www.epox.com.
