EPoX EP-9U1697-GLi Motherboard Review - Benchmark results

The tests are based on the test system on the last page. There are the motherboards facing off:

    • Biostar NF4ST-A9 NF4 939
    • EPoX 9U1697
    • EPoX 9U1697 Overclocked to 2.8 GHz

Starting out, I ran SiSoft Sandra.  The EPoX board, left at stock settings, ran pretty evenly with the Biostar.  But once we utilized the extended overclocking functions of the EPoX, we were able to see it pull ahead nicely.

After Sandra, I ran SuperPi, which again obviously favored the overclocked EPoX.

Again, you can see that both boards came out VERY close in the Pi calculations, with the overclocked EPoX way up on top.  Finally, I did some benchmarking in FEAR, to check out the FPS I was able to achieve.

With all of the tests, the EPoX seemed to be an even match for the Biostar.  Only when using the powerful overclocking abilities of the motherboard, we were able to see this board shine.
