    Asus A7N8X-X - Asus A7N8X-X

    Benchmarks

    1. 3DMark2k3 w/ patch

    2. 3DMark2k1se Build330

    3. PCMark2k2

    4. Aquamark

    5. Commanche 4

    6. SiSoft Sandra (CPU, Multimedia, and Memory benchmarks)

All tests were run with memory running 2-2-3-6 timings. AGP was locked at 66MHZ for the A7N8X-X.

    3DMark03

It is quite apparent that there is an immediate increase in performance with the nForce2 chipset. Although only running single channel, the nForce2 still out performs VIA's old KT400 chipset by a good 100 points or so. Look at the low scores, I was too used to the performance of my unlocked Radeon 9500 that I forgot about the lackluster performance of having only 4 pipelines. Those Omega Drivers really do help.

    3DMark01 SE

The increased performance in memory bandwidth really shines in this benchmark. 3DMark2k1se really loves high FSB with low latency. Running stock speeds, the nForce2 chipset scores an extra 700 points over the KT400!

    PCMark02

Once again, the increased memory bandwidth performance can be seen out performing the KT400. The CPU and HD scores are relatively the same since the motherboard does not have that much of an impact on the CPU power.
