    The Box

    The box itself is quite attractive.  The shiny black box with the prism effect is eye-catching.  One thing I don't understand though is why Albatron chose to slap on a picture of a beetle on the cover???


    The Contents

    Albatron sure packed a lot of goodies with their board.  From firewire to extra USB ports to extra audio outputs and game controller and extra serial device, nothing is missing.  With all the extras available, only one serial ATA cable is included.  I would think it would be better to include two cables instead of one since serial RAID would be readily available and used.  Then again, that's just my opinion.   

    The extra audio outputs for their excellent 8 channel onboard sound, controlled by the VIA Envy chip and codec, and where it connects to 

       

     

     

    Albatron has included a good instructions manual.  It even has it's own overclocking section! 


    Here are the screenshots for the software installation.  I went a little overboard with my camera.
