ABIT IP35-E - Tests and Conclusion

    WinRar

This benchmark uses some important parts of the motherboard: the CPU, the memory, the chipset, and the southbridge. This test will see how fast the PC can compress and extract data. Higher speeds are better.

As you can see the results for overclock are a little better.

    Super Pi

This benchmark computes the numbers of pi. It will need input from the memory, CPU and chipset.

No surprise here, overclocking has cut the time in half. It does take a really good board to be able to handle these kinds of speeds and still be stable.

    PC Mark 05

This tests everything about the computer from gaming to word processing. It will give a great look at everything about the board, like the audio, network IC, the chipset, and even the hard drives and memory.  The CPU will be used in all the tests

This also showed a substantial gain in results with the overclock.

    Conclusion

Welcome back Abit to the performance market. Everything about this board has met or exceeded my expectations. I am shocked with this board, but at the same time thought I would get such a great board from Abit.

There are a few downsides to this board. I would have loved to see more USB ports on the back I/O. The double boot issue has been fixed, but requires a new BIOS upgrade. The only truly annoying problem was the fact that the default memory voltage was 1.8volts. This created countless headaches for me, but I did manage to get through it.

The perks of this board go back to the top notch performance. Overclocking with this board was easy and seemed to never want to stop going up. It has everything you would need in a motherboard. Yes, it's missing some of the nice features a more expensive board would have. But at the end of the day, this is one hell of a motherboard.

I would highly recommend this board to anyone that is in the market for a new motherboard. Someone that doesn't want to shell out $200, but wants something that will deliver power and performance at a budget price would be very happy with this board. I am going to give this motherboard the Dev Hardware Recommended award.
