    Introduction
    Intel's latest flagship motherboard chipset the Intel 875P/ICH5 is hitting the scene in a big way and with some serious horsepower behind it. Today we are showing off the ABIT IC7-G Max2 Advance motherboard based on that very chipset. The IC7-G is ABIT's absolute top end motherboard and as you'll soon see, they have spared no expense in bringing you a truly remarkable piece of hardware. Aimed squarely at the enthusiast, ABIT is once again raising the bar on performance.



     

    Eager to see the performance of the new Intel chipset I was really looking forward to getting my hands on Canterwood and the IC7-G Max2 Advance looks like it will have everything it needs to turn out some high numbers. Lets take a look at the specs.

    The IC7-G sports an impressive lineup of Intel's latest technology. 800MHz FSB, Gigabit LAN, AGP 8X Dual Channel DDR and quite a bit more. Lets take a look below at the entire list.

    Packaging for the IC7-G Max2 Advance is simply awesome. ABIT has taken great care in the the looks and quality of this package and it easily shows. Also for the first time, ABIT has FINALLY included a case badge with this motherboard. Finally, our plea's of satisfaction have not gone unheard. Many of us out there have been waiting for the chance to show off our motherboard with a nice case badge and ABIT has finally delivered.

     


        


    ABIT has really pulled out all the stops for the IC7-G. Included are 2 black ABIT rounded cables, 1 ATA/133 and 1 Floppy. 2 generation 1 serial ATA cables, 2 serial ATA 4-Pin power adaptors, back plate with 2 USB 2.0 and 2 Firewire ports, ATX back plate, software drivers, jumper sticker, a quick installation guide and one serial ATA adaptor.
