ABIT Fatal1ty F-I90HD - Conclusion
Overall the ABIT Fatal1ty F-I90HD is a respectable motherboard. As far as mATX motherboards goes, this one has one of the best overclocking capabilities on Intel's side. It is feature packed, even for its small size. It is really an overclocker's mATX motherboard.
The built-in HDMI connection puts in on a very small list of Intel motherboards that have this built onto the motherboard. The layout is great for a mATX motherboard. The power connectors are in a great location; all the cables are easily reachable even when I plugged in everything. The overall design is an A+.
This board does have its down falls. The BIOS is severely crippled simply due to not enabling the PCI and PCI-Express locks. This makes it lose most overclocking capabilities. This can be solved with a modded BIOS.
The other issue is the quality control at ABIT. It seems like they have had quite a few boards arrive dead or die shortly after the user received the motherboard. Mine came with a bad BIOS flash. I'm not sure how these get past ABIT, but nevertheless, be prepared to wait. The quality control issues seem to be more ABIT than just this motherboard. A built-in second BIOS wouldn't hurt ABIT; it would save lots of money in RMA.
Overall I like the motherboard. I would recommend it if you knew what you were getting into and were able to deal with it. If you are looking for a no-headache motherboard, then move on; this isn't for you.
