    ABIT BH7 - ABIT BH7

    Benchmarking
Obviously the BH7 is aimed squarely at the enthusiast market and today we have a few benchmarks that should highlight it's performance in a few areas of interest. Benchmarking applications and setup info below.

    Benchmark Programs

    1. PCMark2002

    2. 3DMark01 SE Build330

    3. 3DMark03

    4. AquaMark v2.3

    5. Comanche 4 Benchmark Demo

    6. SiSoft Sandra 2003 (OCA Edition)

    System Setup

    1. CPU - Intel P4 2.4B

    2. Motherboard - ABIT BH7 and IT7-MAX2 V2

    3. CPU Cooler - Stock

    4. Memory - OCZ EL DDR PC3700 / 466MHz

    5. Video Card - ATi Radeon 9700 OCS Level3 SE

    6. Sound Card - CL Audigy

    7. HD - Western Digital SE 8MB IDE ATA/100

    PCMark2002

    FutureMark Corporation

Here we see comparisons of the IT7 MAX2 V2.0 and BH7 with the 2.4GHz P4 CPU. Also in comparison are the NF7-S Barton 2500+ and BH7 with 2.4GHz @3GHz overclocked. The BH7 hangs well both in CPU and Memory scores @default CPU speed. Increasing it to 3GHz shows much higher scores which is expected. HD Scores were not included since they were pretty much even across the board.

    3DMark01 SE Build330

Scores remain the same on both motherboards and again increase when overclocking to 3GHz.

    3DMark03

The controversial new benchmark from FutureMark makes it's showing. Scores again are relatively the same on both motherboards as they should be, and again 3DMark03 shows a nice improvement with higher clock speeds.

    Commanche 4

Commanche4 by Novalogic is a nice real-world benchmark that actually is a bit more stressful on the CPU as opposed to the video subsystem. Again the BH7 @3GHz tops out higher than the rest.
