iRiver H320 - Form Factor Compared to the iPod
(Page 2 of 7 )

Now let’s take a look at the player itself. The size is roughly the same as the iPod. The iPod is 2.4 in x 4.1 in x .57 in, and weights in at 5.6oz, while the H320 is 2.4 in x 4.1 in x 0.9 in, and weights in at 6.6oz. The extra size and weight do make a difference.

Once we look at the thickness of these two players, we see biggest physical difference. The H320 is .3in chunkier than the iPod. If you hold them in your hands, both players feel about the same. You can feel the extra depth of the H320, but it doesn't limit your ability to hold the player. The H320's size difference became apparent once I put the players in my pocket. With the H320 in my pocket, I can feel the difference in size and weight compared to the iPod. The iPod also has more rounded edges than the H320. When I have a iPod in my pocket, it feels no different than my cell phone. With the H320, the weight is a dead give away; you can feel it bang into your body -- not that it hurts, just that it can become annoying.
