    iPod Shuffle - Usability

The iPod is a great music player, but you can’t do many kinds of activities with the iPod. The iPod Mini is a little better, but still too big to take to the gym. The iPod Shuffle is small, light, and provides great battery life; it is meant to be taken outside and used. I filled it with songs, and then went for a run. I have used other flash-based MP3 players in the past, and they worked well.

The Shuffle is awesome while working out. I used the end cap with the lanyard, and hung it around my neck. It didn’t bounce around, and I couldn’t even feel it. If you plan on working out a lot with it, then you may want to check out the arm band. The lanyard will work, but it may hinder some workouts.

    Conclusion

The iPod Shuffle had a lot to live up to. It joins the other iPods as the best MP3 players on the market. The iPod Shuffle meets those expectations and breaks them. The Shuffle was meant to be a small, portable device you could take anywhere, with size and weight not a factor. This player is small, easy to use, and stylish.

It packs the power, too. I managed to get 16.5 hours on a single charge. While it doesn’t have a LCD screen, controlling it isn’t a problem. The buttons are located in nice, convenient places, and easy to use. The Shuffle has workout written all over it, and it is the best MP3 player I have used for working out. I love this player, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a small, flash-based MP3 player.

    Pros

    • Small and light
    • Great sound quality
    • Easy to use
    • Massive battery life

    Cons

    • No LCD
