A-Frame Tabletop Stand
In case you have not noticed, the iPad is lightweight, but it can be a hassle to hold after long periods of use. A proper stand is almost a necessity with the device, as holding it in your lap all the time is not very ergonomic. Neither is keeping it on a tabletop. The A-Frame Tabletop Stand takes care of this issue, offering you design plus plenty of functionality so that you can use your iPad in a comfortable manner.
The A-Frame has an attractive metallic color scheme that does not draw too much attention and keeps things looking professional. While it's not exactly huge, it is very durable and made of aluminum. It's also just large enough so that you can even place your iPad in it with a case, although your mileage may vary. To keep the iPad protected and unscathed while in the stand, the A-Frame employs non-slip silicone on its interior that grips nicely to the tablet.
Ergonomic features of the A-Frame include the ability to shift the stand for viewing the iPad in portrait or landscape mode, as well as on a slight angle just off of a tabletop for typing and Internet browsing. The A-Frame has a list price of $50. Many will find that to be a bit much, but it does a good job of providing you different ways to view and use your iPad.
Reveal Case
There is no shortage of cases on the market to protect your iPad. Some are ultra-durable, while others have just enough protection to keep the iPad safe. The Reveal Case falls into the latter category. It's simple, yet strong, and does not add a ton of bulk to the tablet, keeping portability intact.
The Reveal was specifically named because it "reveals" the back of the iPad entirely. Its back plate is made of durable polycarbonate material that is transparent. The Reveal protects the sides of the tablet via a rubber cushion material that is black in color. The iPad's display is not protected with any sort of film, but the edges of the rubber cushion are raised slightly so that if the iPad is placed face down, its display will not touch any flat surface.
While protecting the iPad, the Reveal does not eliminate functionality. You still get full usage and access to all the vital buttons and ports. The Reveal sells for $50, and is a nice combination of solid protection and attractive, yet unassuming design.
As you can see, Griffin Technology is a solid company to look to when shopping for the right gear for your iPad. The three accessories presented here are just a sampling of what Griffin has to offer.
