i-PHONO Mini Bluetooth Stereo Pod Transmitter BT450Px for Sony PSP - What’s inside the package?
This item came to us in a plastic package, one you would expect to find hanging on the wall in a computer store. With the PSP’s popularity, it seems that Bluetake is ready to get a share of that market.

What surprised me about the package immediately was how light it was. I almost thought that the product may have been missing something. Here’s what I found when I opened up the package for inspection.

Inside this package was the transmitter itself, a wiring harness, and a setup guide. Well, that explains why I thought the package was too light. I was expecting a transformer to be in the package to charge the transmitter, but there was none to be found. Instead, I found a charging harness which utilizes the charging adapter for the PSP itself, and allows you to recharge the PSP and the wireless transmitter at the same time. Here’s what I mean.

The nice thing about this configuration is that the wireless transmitter charges using the same charger as your PSP, so it doesn’t need to take up an additional power outlet. In addition, there is a +5V DC USB charging socket, for charging an additional accessory. While this is nice, there is still the need to charge the Bluetooth headphones you will be pairing with the transmitter.
Here’s a shot of my PSP and the transmitter in the midst of being charged.

As you can see, there is a small red charging light on the transmitter. This is similar to the red light on the PSP, which also indicates charging.
Now that I’ve charged the PSP and the transmitter, let’s pair them, attach them, and listen to how they sound, shall we?
