    How  to Install the BlackBerry Desktop Software

    To install the desktop software, follow these steps:

    1. Start the installation from the CD or by double-clicking on the downloaded software file.

    2. Click Next on the Welcome screen.

    3. On the Language screen, use the drop-down menu to choose the
    appropriate language (English is selected by default).

    4. Read the License Agreement screen and click Next.

    5. On the Customer Information screen, enter your name and company
    name and click Next.

    6. On the E-Mail Integration Options window, you can choose to integrate the BlackBerry with the enterprise mail system or, if you are a standalone user, with your current ISP mail account, as shown here. Make your decision by clicking the desired radio button and click Next.

    7. The next screen provides a default folder in which to install the
    software. You can accept this default by clicking Next, or click the
    Browse button to change it.

    8. On the Program Folder window, choose which Program Folder you
    want to install the BlackBerry to; it is installed in Accessories by
    default. Make a decision and click Next.

    9. On the Shortcut Installation Options, choose who will have access to the software and if you want shortcuts added to the Desktop and the Start Menu, as shown here. Click Next.

    10. The installation process begins. When it is complete, click Finish. 

    As with any installation, you should close all programs on your PC before beginning.
