Top Five Music Phones of 2008 - Conclusion
(Page 4 of 4 )
A music cell phone consolidates two great devices, an attractive cell phone and a definitive portable audio player, into one device. Surely there were many excellent phones released this year, many of which didn't make the list. But there is a lot to consider when putting together a list of the best of the best. And when you combine two devices, there are many opportunities to give short shrift to one or the other (or sometimes both).
Many different characteristics were taken into account when considering the best music phones such as sound quality, ease of use and the device's interface -- intuitive or not. These five phones truly are the cream of the crop and personify everything that a music cell phone should be.
When choosing a music phone, it's important to keep a couple of things in mind. The phone's music features are obviously the most important. A music phone should provide excellent music support, such as the ability to work with popular radio file types like MP3s and a variety of AACs, WMAs and more. As an added bonus, top notch music phones also feature a good music organizer and the ability to listen to FM radio.
MP3 or music phones also need to perform well as a cell phone. The best music phones should include all of the basic cell phone features that you've grown accustomed to, such as conference calling, call-waiting, a calculator, caller ID, a calendar, speaker phone and advanced phone book options.
Internet features are also something with which a good music phone should come equipped. Some of the best music is online, and exceptional music phones offer the ability to connect to online music sources and play from streaming audio sources.
It goes without saying that a music phone is one of the coolest devices available today. With all of the excellent options available this season, there's no way you can go wrong.
