ThermoHawk 200 Touchless Thermometer - Conclusion

After using the ThermoHawk to troubleshoot an issue I had with my dishwasher, it occurred to me that there are many professions that could probably benefit from such a device. This includes plumbers, AC repairmen, and auto mechanics just to name a few.

Overall, I probably had a little too much fun running around the house and measuring the temperature of all sorts of things, from one of my daughter's toes (93 degrees) to a fluorescent light bulb (71 degrees). It is probably worth mentioning, as well, that there is a small button on the ThermoHawk to change from Fahrenheit (default) to Celsius readings.

And now, without further ado, here are the pros and cons for this gadget:

    Pros:

    • Touchless reading of temperatures
    • Temperatures amazingly accurate
    • Decent price ($39 at the time of this writing)
    • Lots of fun

    Cons:

    • None encountered

Honestly, I would have liked it to have a wider range of testing, but this is the job of its big brother, the ThermoHawk 400.

With how well this device performed, and just how much raw fun I had with it, I give this product a score of 9 out of 10, and Dev Hardware's coveted Gold award.

If you have ever had problems tracking down a cooling issue within your PC (among other things), then this device is just what the doctor ordered.  I, for one, plan on making the ThermoHawk 200 a permanent resident of my toolbox.

       · Yeah, this gadget is fun. Maybe a little TOO fun. Any questions?
