Competition is fierce no matter what business you’re in, but it’s extraordinarily competitive between Zune and iPod in the MP3 player market. There’s always pressure to make something better, smaller, more jam-packed with features, etc. This article takes a close look at Microsoft's latest shot in the battle, the Zune HD, due out later this year.
In September of 2007, Apple launched their new iPod Touch and for almost two years, they’ve had very little in the way of serious competition. That was, of course, until May of this year when Zune announced they were in the process of releasing a touch-screen version of their Zune portable media player.
Zune HD is being heralded as “portable perfection” and many industry insiders believe it’s going to give Apple’s iPod Touch a run for its money. The device is set to be released in the fall of 2009. Let's take a look at what “portable perfection” is all about.
