The Samsung SPH-M240 and the Samsung SPH-M330 Cellular Phones for Sprint - Flip Phone Design

The Samsung SPH-M240 has a flip phone design that, although simple, is still easy on the eyes. Its overall color scheme is silver and black, and it has a nice textured surface on the back cover. The SPH-M240 weighs in at 2.9 ounces and measures 3.6 inches tall by 1.85 inches wide by 0.75 inch thick.

Although small and portable, this device still feels solidly built. The front of the phone, in its closed state, houses a display window that runs vertically and shows you the phone’s status as well as caller ID. It’s a nice touch, even though the font could be difficult for some to see without squinting.

Once flipped open, the 1.75-inch display with 160x128 resolution is revealed. The display’s graphics are not great, but then again they do not need to be, considering the phone’s overall capabilities. They suit its simplistic nature.

The menu interface is quite easy to use without much confusion. Beneath the display rests the navigational buttons as well as the keypad. Both the navigational buttons and keypad are sufficiently large and easy to use. They are backlit as well, for use in dark environments. Rounding out the design of the SPH-M240 are a 2.5mm jack and micro USB charging port on the left spine, and a volume rocker on the right spine.

The Samsung SPH-M240 is a good choice for those needing a cheap phone that is easy to use. The design is nice, and while it lacks a lot of features, you get what you pay for.
