    The Creative Zen V

Apple makes the best known MP3 music players in the world. Many people couldn’t name an MP3 player other than the iPod. Today we will take a look at the Creative Zen V. With the iPod Shuffle as the better-known player, is the Creative Zen V worth a look? Read on to find out.

Many companies have tried to enter the MP3 player market, but few have been successful. Companies like Dell introduced products only to give up on them because the iPod dominated the market. Creative, best known for their PC sound cards, has tried their hand at the market with some success. Creative offers many different models; most notable are their Zen series. Today we will take a look at their Zen V. This offers 1 GB of built-in memory and competes with the iPod Shuffle.

    Packaging

The Creative Zen V comes in nice packaging, definitely more boxed than the iPod Shuffle, which comes in a plastic case. You find your standard accessories for most MP3 players: a manual, USB cable, audio-in cable, drawstring pouch, lanyard, and of course the Zen V.

The only thing worth noting is the USB cable. It is very short. If you have a USB port on the front of your computer, you should be fine. If the only USB ports are on the back of your computer, you will be going under your desk to connect your Zen. There are many other accessories that you can buy, such as cases and radios.
