The Best iPhone Accessories - Turn it up

Sure, you could use the ear buds that come with your iPhone when and if you want to use your headphones to listen to music. Some people find them to be a little bit painful for long periods of listening. For an ear bud, you have to look for comfort, so look for a gummy model that will bend to your ears' shape and not hurt you.

    My recommended gummy model is:

JVC HAF130P Portable Gummy Earbud Headphones

    Manufacturer's information:

    In-ear / Frequency Response: 16-20,000 Hz / 42-inch straight cord with gold-plated mini plug

JVC's Gummy Headphones let you enjoy your favorite music from your digital media player. The soft material covers the lightweight earbuds to ensure a comfortable and secure fit.

What if you don't like ear buds?

Then it is time to look at over- or around-the-ear models. There are a lot of good models on the market, but for my cash, Skull Candy is the way to go. A good on- the-ear model is:

    iCon Clip

    Manufacturer's information:

The iCon Clip offers an alternative to the over-the-head version of the iCon/Recruit headphones. Not only does the Clip preserve your tight weave, it's downright comfy to wear.

    • 15mm speaker
    • Frequency range: 18 - 20,000 Hz
    • Impedance: 32 ohms
    • Max input power: 30mW
    • Cable type: OFC
    • Cable length: 1.2 M
    • Plug type: 3.5mm gold plated

    Accessories: Extra snap-on deco plates

    A good around-the-ear model is:

    G.I.

    Manufacturer's information:

In the New World Order of audio fashion, the Skullcandy G.I. is your invitation to join the ruling coalition. Don't let anyone mistake your kindness for weakness.

    • 40mm speaker
    • Frequency range: 100 - 18,000 Hz
    • Impedance: 50 ohms
    • Max input power: 400mW
    • Cable type: OFC
    • Cable length: 1.2 M
    • Plug type: 3.5mm gold plated

Accessories: Interchangeable ear pads, travel bag, 6.3mm gold-plated adapter.

If you decide to go your own way, just be sure to look for an ample length cord, a comfortable fit for your ears, and if you can get it, an independent volume control wheel or slider.
