Tablet PC Round-up - WACOM Cintiq 12 WX Tablet PC

The advent of tablet PCs was welcomed by artists and designers because of the ease with which the stylus could be used for artistic presentations. The Cintiq 12 WX Tablet PC, introduced by WACOM this year, is truly an artist’s delight. This tablet PC is a bit different than other tablet PCs on the market, because it targets artists on-the-go.

The Cintiq 12 WX portable PC has a 12.1-inch screen display/tablet area and a 10.3 x 6.4-inch tablet interface combined LCD WXGA-quality screen. Overall, the Cintiq12 WX is the smallest of the Tablet PCs made by WACOM.

The portable creativity station includes Photoshop elements 5.0, Corel Painter essentials 310, and a set of cs compatible brushes for Photoshop. This makes it the tablet with the best graphics interface available on the market today. The pen tip is removable and 3 standard, 1 stroke, 1 felt, art pen, and airbrush classic tips are included. The stylus is easy to wield while drawing and glides smoothly across the screen. It incorporates 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity and the pen works smoothly with a pressure sensitive function when using both Photoshop and Corel Painter, giving you excellent hand eye coordination.

This machine supports Windows 2000, Windows Vista, and Windows Tablet XP operating systems. The machine is battery free and wireless. This model sells for about $1000 right now and it comes with a 2 year warranty.

    Conclusion

The era of the tablet PC has arrived and may soon replace laptops because they have a bi-functional design that allows you to have a keyboard at the desk and a digital notepad on the field. Their versatility is unparalleled. The Tablet PC is not merely portable, but also easy to wield. Owners of Tablet PCs can view videos, listen to music, connect to the Internet, create and manipulate photos, carry all the information they need on-the-go, and store sensitive information, all in one slim digital notepad.

Inputting information is easy and natural using the fingertip or a handy stylus that comes with the machine. The EPA’s Energy Star 4.0 guidelines have helped to make Tablet PC's very eco-friendly. The Tablet PCs of 2008 have become slimmer, lighter, and brighter. Manufacturers are conscious that consumers use their tablet PCs for storing sensitive information. Newer tablet PCs are security conscious and have easy methods for digital encryption. From the desk to the field, just remove a clip to have all the computer's information at the user’s finger tip.
