Tablet PC Round-up - Dell Latitude XT

The Dell latitude XT tablet PC weighs 3.6 lbs and is one of the thinnest, lightest, and brightest tablet PCs on the market today. It is a 12.1-inch convertible tablet. The active digitizer is finger sensitive and requires no pressure to be applied on the screen. The entire design is geared towards maintenance free usage. The tablet has a full size keyboard.

The PC comes with a 64 GB2 solid state drive, and a 120GB Hard Drive. It has an Intel core 2 solo or duo ULV processor. The tablet has two 12.1-inch WXGA CCFL LCD screens for added energy efficiency and brightness. It also has an LED back-light feature for greater clarity outdoors and under artificial lighting.

This Dell PC tablet supports Windows Vista Business, Windows Vista Ultimate, and Windows Tablet XP operating systems. The PC can connect through Bluetooth and WiFi with an integrated wireless connectivity feature for Sprint broadband, Verizon broadband, and Telus Broadband. The Tablet has a battery life of up to 9 hours (depending upon use).

Dell had promised to go green with its machines and in keeping with the promise, the Dell Latitude XT is made to conform with Energy Star 4.0 guidelines of the EPA in standby, sleep mode, and while in use. The Dell Latitude XT Tablet PC costs approximately $3799 and requires a $200 HSDPA modem. This model comes with a very good three year warranty.
