Tablet PC Round-up - The Fujitsu Life Book T2010
(Page 2 of 4 )
The 2008 version of the Fujitsu Life Book T2010 weighs a mere 3.5 pounds, but packs in a number of safety features, like trusted platform module support and a fingerprint sensor for encrypting sensitive information. The active digitizer recognizes the stylus easily. It also has a 160 GB shock sensor. The Ever Note Plus note taking and organization capabilities are easy to use and other controls are easy to access.

The T2010 has a bidirectional swivel 12.1-inch WXGA indoor/outdoor LED screen with a backlight and reflective coating for all weather use. It includes 4 GB of DDR2 RAM and is fitted with WiFi connectivity and optional Bluetooth connectivity. It supports both Tablet Windows XP and Windows Vista business. It is fitted with an Intel core 7600 processor with ultra low voltage and an embedded smart card.
The battery life is rated at approximately 11-hours - the longest among tablet PCs. The tablet conforms to the emission regulations in all three modes of usage specified by the Energy Star Version 4.0 guidelines released by the EPA in 2007.
The cost of the PC is about $1499, and it also requires a HSDPA modem that costs $200. At that price, the Life Book U810 is a good value. As a matter of fact, Cnet calls the U810 the “best ultra-mobile PC keyboard yet...(and) inexpensive for a UMPC.” This Life book comes with a 1 year limited warranty.
