T-Mobile Dash 3G
Many T-Mobile subscribers will likely welcome the addition of the Dash 3G to the carrier’s lineup. The Dash 3G is a nice upgrade over T-Mobile’s long-running regular Dash smartphone, which has gone relatively unchanged for the past few years. Read on for a closer look.
Among the major upgrades in this newest version are 3G support, a 2-megapixel camera, and GPS capability. Combine the upgrades with a good design, full QWERTY keyboard, and messaging capabilities, and you have a viable smartphone for T-Mobile subscribers who love to text, send emails, and surf the net while on the go.
The T-Mobile Dash 3G is currently available for $169.99 with a two-year service agreement. While this price is a bit higher than other comparable smartphones on the market, it could very well be worth the purchase, as the Dash 3G comes packed with plenty of goodies to keep one busy and in touch with the world.
First up are the features of the Dash 3G, and the list is plentiful. Perhaps the biggest and most anticipated feature of this Dash upgrade is its 3G support, which adds to the appropriate moniker of the smartphone. The Dash 3G is the newest 3G capable phone by T-Mobile, and is a great addition to the line for its subscribers, as there were previously only two other choices from the carrier that were 3G capable.
As of right now, T-Mobile’s 3G network covers 130 cities, but they plan to expand this number by an additional 100 later in the year. With the 3G network, subscribers can expect download speeds and data rates of up to 1Mbps.
Since the T-Mobile 3G network is still growing and not all that expansive yet, it is refreshing to know that the Dash 3G comes with Wi-Fi for those unfortunate times when you happen to venture outside of the network's range and want to log onto other available wireless networks. In addition to being 3G and Wi-Fi capable, the Dash 3G also has quad-band world roaming. Bluetooth 2.0 also comes with the Dash 3G, and it can support hands-free kits, mono and stereo headsets, object push, and A/V remote just to name a few.
