Sprint Mogul Smart Phone - Performance
Recent tests have proved that the Sprint Mogul's call quality is pretty good, with no major problems. As I mentioned earlier, though, the speaker phone is not that great. The sound quality could be better in the speaker phone, and that is disappointing to see in such a good quality phone.
The processor in this phone is an Intel PXA250 400 MHz. This processor works well, but is very slow when running multiple applications. Using the included microSD card slot for more memory is a good idea to help relieve some of the stress on processing.
The digital camera and video performed well for a cell phone. The pictures will show a bit of noise, but that is to be expected in a cell phone camera. The video works surprisingly well, and the playback on the Mogul's screen looks good.
The battery life in the Mogul is average at best. The lithium-ion rechargeable battery is rated at 4.1 hours of talk time. This is much less than the Apple iPhone and the Cingular 8125.
Summary
Overall I like the Sprint Mogul by HTC very much, and I don't have many complaints about it. I like the overall design of this smart phone, and the size is ideal. The keyboard and touch-screen are excellent and easy to use. The features are tough to beat at this price level ($399). I especially like the wireless features included with this phone. This phone allows you to always be connected to the Internet thanks to the Wi-Fi and EV-DO technologies.

The only real complaint with the Mogul is the bad speaker phone quality. I think that with time, though, users will get used to the speaker phone quality and it won't be a big deal to them anymore. Interested buyers should definitely check out the Mogul, in person, before buying one. This is always a good idea when making a big purchase.

I would recommend this phone as a healthy alternative to the Apple iPhone. It costs a couple hundred dollars less, and it offers a ton of good features. Users will be happy with the usability of this phone and with the great coverage provided by Sprint.
