    Sony X-Series Walkman

Some of us may have owned one of the original Sony Walkman once upon a time. Now there was a classic mobile device! Sony keeps up with the times, though, and its new X-Series Walkman is no exception. Nostalgia aside, you'll find a soft spot for this player when you see everything it can do for you.

When one thinks of a portable music device, the first generic name to pop into their head is usually the Walkman. The Walkman was introduced to the public by Sony 30 years ago in 1979, and since then it has evolved a long way from a radio and cassette player to a device today capable of much more.

Enter the Sony X-Series Walkman. The X-Series Walkman is a high quality device that can not only be used to listen to music, but also to watch streaming video and browse the Internet thanks to its Wi-Fi capabilities.

Sony introduced the X-Series Walkman to keep up with competitors in the now-popular touch-screen market of portable music devices, such as the iPod Touch. Besides its nice feature set, the X-Series also has a design quality and user-friendly interface that are superb.

Of course, for such a quality product one would expect to pay a lot, and they must, as the 16 GB version of the X-Series Walkman retails for $299. There is also a 32 GB version that sells for $399.

The price tag may be high for many, but if you are a true music fanatic that takes care of your electronic toys, you should definitely give the Sony X-Series Walkman some serious consideration. Please note that for the purpose of this review, we will take a look at the 16 GB version.
