Sharp Wizard OZ-590 Review - So, Did Sharp's Wizard Deliver?
Maybe you had or hadn't noticed the words "PC Sync" on some of those pics. If you had, and it grabbed your attention, then your probably going to be disappointed - at least a little. It will link to your PC, but only via a 9-pin serial cable, one of the most antiquated methods of connection still being used (or not being used in most cases, thankfully). I installed the software that came on the disc and it allows you to sync up pretty much all info that you have in Outlook (which I don't). It also let's you backup data from the organizer to the PC or restore lost data that you have backed up previously. It's also necessary to do if you want the translator to work; all the words are on the disc to begin with. This erked me a little bit at first because I like the whole translator thing and thought it should be on there by default. After thinking about it, however, not everyone will want to use that and it just takes up memory. Eight (8) MB of memory, by the way, is much more than you will normally find in this type of device. Usually expect to see 1MB or less. I guess that allows for the mass of rolodex entry options.
Conclusion

With all of the sub-$100 pocket organizers out there, it can be quite a challenge to pick one that has what you need and not too much of what you don't. The few complaints I had about this one (the games, the sync method, the poor visibitity when not glowing) simply pale in comparison to all of the great features that truly allow you to organize your life, or as in my case, just make it a little bit more of an organized mess.
Pros:
Slick Look
Full Featured Rolodex
English/Spanish Translator
Protective Flip Cover
Handy Stylus Compartment
Cons:
Poor Visibility without use of glow feature
More thought needs to be put into games
PC Sync. uses serial connection
$50 price tag may be too steep for some?
