Sharp Wizard OZ-590 Review - A Closer View of the OZ-590
(Page 3 of 6 )

As you can see above, the OZ-590® looks pretty slick as far as pocket organizers go. The stylus is conveniently located in the back right corner, as seen in the picture below. The hole holds it quite snugly, so you don't have to worry about losing that tiny stick. As an afterthought, I decided to try doing a few tasks without the stylus, and although the screen had no problem sensing my finger, it was covered in smudges within minutes.

You can see the battery compartment and the stylus's location (it's hanging half out). Also, just below the battery compartment, there is a switch with two settings: Replace Battery and Normal Operation. The manual instructs you to put it in the "replace battery" setting when first installing the battery and then prior to starting it up, to put it in the "normal operation" setting. Seems simple doesn't it? For some damn reason, after putting the battery in I forgot all about the switch and I started to freak out when I pushed the power button and nothing happened. (Note to self, read manual, then use product, not vice versa.)
In addition to the small string of shortcuts to the more important functions located at the bottom of the touch screen, there are nine buttons on the lower half of the unit, four directional buttons with an "Enter" button in the middle, "Previous" and "Next" buttons, a "Backlight" button, and of course, the power button.
