    Sanyo SCP-5500 Video Phone

Looking for a new cell phone?  Don't sell yourself short. Besides all the other things you want to do with your cell phone - games, access the web, address book, etc. - you may as well get one that can take pictures, video, and email those pictures and video to any Internet address or compatible phone! Is Sanyo's latest and greatest, the SCP-5500 phone, up to the task? Read on and find out!

The Sanyo SCP-5500 was released early December 2003. This phone is the first with video capture capabilities on the Sprint PCS network and one of the first to utilize Ready Link, Sprint's equivalent of Nextel's Direct Connect walkie talkie feature. Today I am going to share my evaluation of this phone/camera hybrid.

    Sanyo VM4500

The SCP-5500 (also known as the VM-4500) is Sanyo's top of the line wireless phone and is loaded with features. The most impressive feature is the built in video camera that will take up to 15 seconds of video and still pictures with up to 640 x 480 resolution. The pictures are the perfect size for publishing on the web or sharing with friends and family using email. The camera also has an auto focus capability and zoom feature (4x and 16x).
