    Samsung YP-T9 Review - Performance

For the most part, this player really shines in the performance category. The only minor flaw in this Samsung is the minor delay when navigating through the menus and also when switching to different applications on the device. This minor flaw is easy to overlook, though, thanks to the player's excellent sound quality and battery life. The music is crystal clear with crisp highs and surprisingly good base with the included ear buds. Some people may find the included ear buds a tad uncomfortable so it may be necessary to acquire an aftermarket pair of headphones. If you intend to use this player during jogging or biking, you can check out my review of the best sporty headphones available on the market for some good ideas for aftermarket earphones.

The battery life of this player is exceptional. This player is rated for 30 hours of
music before a charge is needed. Recent tests by independent sources have shown that you can realistically expect closer to 26 hours of playback, which is still excellent battery life. Battery life is greatly decreased while watching video, but you can still expect close to 10 hours of battery life before needing a charge; this figure is very impressive.

    Final Thoughts

Samsung is really making a move as a leader in MP3 player technology, and they do a nice job of implementing a quality product while keeping the price at a reasonable level. I hope to see the successors of the YP-T9 with a slightly faster processor and Bluetooth capability. I hope to find out more information on Samsung's current Bluetooth YP-T9 model, because this model may help put Samsung past iPod in the MP3 player market.

Overall, I would recommend this player because of its small size, great LCD display, solid features, and above average performance. You really can't go wrong with this player, especially since you can pick up the 4 GB for only $100 refurbished.
