    Samsung YP-T9 Review - Features

The YP-T9 comes nicely equipped with most of the features that you would expect in an MP3 player in this price range. One nice feature of the YP-T9 is the ability of this device to play video and store photos. This player supports MP4 video clips, and the playback is rather good. It is capable of playing video at about 15 frames per second, which allows for a relatively smooth viewing experience. The LCD screen will automatically switch to landscape mode when a video clip is played.  The awesome LCD screen really displays images very well and makes for a more enjoyable experience when viewing photos or video.

This device also supports flash games, and even comes equipped with a couple of them: baseball and pizza delivery. These games will not give you hours of entertainment and will definitely not replace your PSP, but they can help pass the time while you are waiting at the airport, subway, bus station, etc. I have also found out that games can be uploaded to this player such as Tekken 3, and the graphics are surprisingly good.

This device does have a built-in FM radio with an auto-scan feature. Tests have shown that the reception of this player is relatively strong in most cases. Stations can be auto-programmed into this device and stored in one of the 30 available presets. There is also a built-in FM recorder which will record music in MP3 form.

The pinhole microphone on top of the device is used for voice recording. This is a good feature to have when you need to take some verbal notes or give yourself a reminder.

Some of the internal features of this player include a variety of playback options, such as repeat, shuffle and skip. There is also a built-in equalizer with 12 presets including normal, rock, and a nine-band user-adjusted setting to name a few. This player is really good at giving the user customizable sound with all of the EQ options, and there is even an "outdoor" setting which supposedly helps the user hear the music better while outdoors.

With the purchase of the 2 or 4 GB models, you will find the following:

    • YP-T9 player
    • ear-buds/foam covers
    • software CD-ROM
    • USB cable
    • manuals/warranty
