Samsung U3 Review - Features
As I previously mentioned, the U3 is not loaded with features, but it has enough of them to get by. One of the best of these features is the built-in USB connector. Not only is this nice because it eliminates the USB cord, but it also makes this device a portable flash drive for storing information from your PC. This is a nice feature to have, and almost anyone could make use of this player as a portable flash drive.
The U3 also features an FM radio with presets and autoscan. The reception is decent with this player. It does not receive AM stations however.
There are some innovative internal features in the U3 worth mentioning. Samsung has equipped the U3 with their DNSe sound technology which gives the user a surround sound effect through the headphones. The U3 is also able to categorize your music by the mood of the music, so you can listen to love songs when you're feeling romantic, cheerful songs when you're happy, and quiet songs when you don't want to blow your ears off.

The sound can be adjusted by the nine-band equalizer which consists of 13 preset settings and a custom one. You will get other standard MP3 player
features such as repeat, shuffle, and skip. The U3 supports a nice variety of formats including MP3, OGG, ASF, and WMA files. It also supports subscription music.
As I said earlier, this player is not filled with features; there is no video, no games, no Bluetooth, and no picture viewing. The U3 is a simple MP3 player which doubles as a portable flash drive, and that's about it.
