Samsung SGH-T659 for T-Mobile and HTC Snap for Alltel

The Samsung SGH-T659 and the HTC Snap are pretty far apart when it comes to their feature sets, but one thing they do have in common: their price. Neither one of them will bust your budget. Both will get the job done, but they're definitely designed to appeal to different kinds of cell phone users.

The Samsung SGH-T659 is about as common as a cell phone can be nowadays. With all the new technologies, designs, and features on the market, you might expect more from a cell phone that was just released. However, if you are not big on flashy phones that do it all, the SGH-T659 might suit your needs. It's a simple slider phone that does have some nice features like a camera, 3G capability, GPS, and Bluetooth and decent performance.

You are not likely to receive many compliments on it, but it does perform its service as a mode of communication at an affordable price. You can pick up the Samsung SGH-T659 for $69 with a service agreement from T-Mobile.

In terms of the basic features, you get text and multimedia messaging, a speakerphone, both a standard and tip calculator, an alarm clock, a timer, and a stopwatch. To help keep you organized, you get a calendar, a notepad, a task list, and a voice recorder. If you travel overseas, then the included world clock, unit converter, and currency converter will come in handy.

You can hold up to 1,000 contacts on the SGH-T659, with the ability to input multiple phone numbers, email addresses, screen names, and other data for each. You can sort your contacts into different groups, and also allocate a specific ringtone and photo to each. There are 21 polyphonic ringtones that come standard on the phone, and you can always download more if you wish. If you tend to go past the 1,000 contact mark, you can store an additional 250 contacts on the SIM card. You can customize the phone with a variety of different wallpapers and themes as well.
