Samsung S5 Radio/MP3 Player - Performance
(Page 4 of 4 )
Jasmine France, associate editor at CNet, gave a demonstration of how the Samsung S5 worked. Ultimately, the device appeared to be very simple to use. The keys responded to very light touching, while the speakers could easily be pulled out from the bottom of the device. Once they are exposed, nothing more has to be done to prop up your system. Just place the device on a hard surface, and you’re ready to share your MP3s with everyone in the room.
As far as the S5’s photo/video support, the system’s tiny screen made it difficult to view videos. France strongly criticized this feature, though she did think that the S5 did an excellent job of displaying regular photographs. Either way, you have to understand that when you’re viewing photos or videos through a portable device you will be dealing with a smaller screen. Remember, the S5 is still an MP3 player; it’s not a portable DVD player.
The other problem France had with the S5 is its size. She noted that while it was smaller than the K5, it was still bulkier than its predecessors. I agree with this, though I really do think the sleekness of other MP3 players is overrated. Besides, I think the slight thickness is worth it, considering the powerful speakers you are getting.
Anyway, if you are interested in seeing France’s review yourself, check out the video at CNet.

Conclusion
All in all, the Samsung S5 Radio/MP3 player is a very powerful device for the avid MP3 listener. Unlike other MP3 players, it gives you the option to listen to music by yourself or with friends without needing any auxiliary connections. It also has other features that are useful for people on the go. This is not to say the device doesn’t have its nuances, but these can be overlooked in light of its advantages. Ultimately, I feel very comfortable recommending this device to most people looking for a solid player.
