    Samsung S5 Radio/MP3 Player - Features

The Samsung S5 contains all of the main features of its successor along with much more. Specifically, these features include: slide-out speakers, an FM tuner, a sound recorder, an alarm clock, photo/video support, and Bluetooth connectivity.

    Slide-Out Speakers

The Samsung S5 comes equipped with speakers capable of outputting 1500 watts of high-quality sound. Additionally, the speakers utilize DNSe technology. Also known as the Digital Natural Sound engine, DNSe allows the Samsung S5 to produce sound that even speakers twice its size aren’t capable of. Best of all, due to the speakers’ unique placement, you can use them to prop up your S5.

    FM Tuner

The FM tuner (which is built into the Samsung S5) turns the device into a fully functional radio. In fact, in many ways the Samsung S5 is better than a traditional radio, because you don’t have to keep flipping through different channels to find the station you want. Instead, the tuner will scan any FM stations within range. Then, in 60 seconds or less, the S5 will place the stations into presets, making the selection process much easier.

    Sound Recorder

Suppose you are in class and you wanted to record your professor’s lecture. Well, with the Samsung S5, you can easily do this since it has the ability to record live sound. This includes recording your own voice, if you wanted to send notes to yourself. Either way, the sound files are saved as an MP3 file, allowing you to play them through the S5 or on your computer.

    Alarm Clock

Tired of the annoying sound typical alarm clocks use you wake up to? True, you could change your settings to wake up to a radio tune, but there’s no guarantee you’ll be waking up to your favorite music. Well, with the Samsung S5’s alarm clock, this is no longer a problem. Just select the time and date you need, as well as the song you want to wake up to, and you’re ready to go.

    Photo/Video Support

The Samsung S5 is capable of displaying any photo that is in JPEG format. As far as video, the Samsung S5 can only play ones that have been converted into the proper format. Fortunately, this can be accomplished quite easily by using the software that comes with the device.

    Bluetooth Connectivity

Bluetooth connectivity is one of the most powerful features of the Samsung S5. Through it you can communicate with other Bluetooth-enabled devices. For example, say you wanted to answer your cell phone, but you don’t feel like fumbling through your purse or pocket. With Samsung S5’s Bluetooth connectivity, you can take the call right from your MP3 player. The only extra thing you would need is a Bluetooth headset, since you cannot answer a call from the S5 directly.
