Many of the others on the market aren't much better. If their sound isn't lacking, then there's an issue with their picture quality... assuming they have multimedia features to begin with. There might also be problems with a phone's style.

You read that right. Forget paying $200, $300 or even $800 for a high-quality texting phone. As long as you sign up with Sprint and take advantage of their mail-in rebate, you'll get the Samsung Rant for less than $60. This is a price that is hard to find even for traditional cell phones lacking the QWERTY keyboard.

Now, if you decide not to sign up with Sprint, you'll have to pay between $259 and $349 for the Samsung Rant. And while this is somewhat normal pricing for these types of phones, remember some manufacturers charge this amount AFTER the discounts have been applied.
