Many special features are available with the Samsung Glyde Cell Phone. They include an advanced 2MP camera, a large phone book, Bluetooth, VZ Navigator, support for Verizon's 3G services and a built-in Internet browser.
Advanced 2MP Camera
The camera available with the Samsung Glyde has a variety of advanced features. One of the most interesting is a self-portrait mirror. Located in the same area as the flash, the self-portrait mirror allows cell phone users to easily take pictures of themselves. Things get even easier if a person decides to use the self-timer provided within the Glyde.
Another feature associated with the camera is the ability to take pictures at different resolutions. Specifically, your resolutions can range from 1,600 x 1,200 to 176 x 144. So, with the Samsung Glyde you have the ability to take large or small photos; it's all up to you.
Other notable features include a 9x digital zoom, an auto focus option, the ability to shoot video clips and image editing.
Large Phone Book
With the Samsung Glyde, you can hold up to 500 contacts in the cell phone's internal phone book. In each of these entries, you can store up to five phone numbers, email addresses and any other pertinent information (which would be entered in the "notes" section). If you wish, you can even store a photo of your contact, making them easier to sort through.
Bluetooth
Bluetooth is a relatively new technology that allows devices to communicate with one another. So, if you have another electronic device that supports Bluetooth, you could actually use it to make cell phone calls, assuming it is connected to the Samsung Glyde.
VZ Navigator
The VZ Navigator is a service that turns your Samsung Glyde cell phone into a GPS system. Through it, you get voice-guided turn-by-turn directions. Best of all, like a GPS, you can use VZ Navigator as you are on the road.
Verizon's 3G Services
Verizon's 3G Services encompass V Cast video content and the V Cast Music store. With V Cast video content, you have access to TV broadcasts including news, weather and sports. Conversely, the V Cast Music store allows you to buy songs for your Glyde.
Built-In Internet Browser
Finally, the Samsung Glyde cell phone comes with a fully-functional HTML browser. This means virtually any type of website will be able to load on your phone. So, with this feature, you won't be limited to browsing websites that are mobile-friendly. Basically, if you can access the site on your laptop, you will also be able to access it on the Glyde.
