    Rolling Lite Laptop Carrier

Pacific Designs is one of the leading carrying case companies in the world. They make carrying cases for a variety of uses, including laptop and notebook computers. Today, I’ll be reviewing the Rolling Lite notebook case, just one in a large variety of notebook cases in Pacific Design’s “Evolution Collection.”

For those of us who travel frequently for work, notebook computers have become an irreplaceable companion on the road.  Whether you need to check your email, prepare and update a presentation on the fly, or even just play some solitaire to pass the time your notebook is there and ready for you.  As a former frequent traveler, I can tell you that one of the main problems I had was transporting the darned thing.  I had one carry-on for my clothes, another for the notebook and its accessories, and a portfolio I’d carry also since it didn’t fit in the other two bags.  There had to be a better way!

Well, it looks like there is. This is what Pacific Designs has to say about the Rolling Lite on their website:

One of the lightest and most compact business rolling cases available. Full-featured organization, protection and easy-access storage, including two places to store your laptop. In addition, it features a 2-position single arm trolley handle, removable cable storage pouch and optional shoulder strap. Even compact enough to fit under most airline seats. Travel smart, travel lite! Meets all international airline carry-on requirements. Fits all 15" laptops!

The Rolling Lite is a new entry in Pacific Design’s product lineup.  After checking their product lineup, I would consider it the “little brother” to their Rolling Deluxe case.  This case is designed for people who travel light, but still need the essentials.  I can tell you, as someone who did a lot of traveling (a lot of them 1 day trips), something this size would have been ideal.

As you can see, this bag is made out of ballistic nylon.  Does that mean its bullet-proof?  I sure doubt it, but I can tell you that it is certainly durable.  This isn’t one of those $20 laptop bags you pick up at your local computer or office supply store.

Let’s move on and check out the exterior of the bag.
