RIM BlackBerry Curve 8320 - Performance
The call quality of the RIM BlackBerry Curve 8320 has been described as superior by a variety of users, including Bonnie Cha (an editor at CNET.com). In her tests, the audio was crisp and free of any excess noises or distortion. However, if you put the phone on speaker, the audio quality is hindered somewhat, as there is a slight hissing sound. But according to Cha, the sound is not loud enough to really impact a person's conversation.
In terms of the other features, the BlackBerry Curve also performed well. Web browsing was extremely fast when the phone was connected to Wi-Fi. When it was connected to EDGE, Cha had a little bit more difficulty, though not anything that was too extreme.
As far as the camera, Cha said that it did produce good pictures if you're able to get the right shot. The picture below is an example of one of the ones she took during her tests.

So, as you can see the picture does look pretty nice, but if your hand is not steady, you might be annoyed at always having to get that perfect shot. Keep in mind that other cell phones have similar problems, and still don't produce pictures this clear.
Finally, there are the multimedia capabilities. Music playback is excellent with the Blackberry 8320 as well as video playback. That's right... you can play videos with the BlackBerry Curve... you just can't create them.
Conclusion
Overall, the RIM BlackBerry Curve 8320 is a phenomenal smart phone. It's affordable and it offers many modern-day features, especially when it comes to texting, emailing and Internet browsing. However, I will say that it is a bit disappointing that the phone doesn't offer the ability to create video. Sure, the technology is limited even on phones that do have it, but it's still nice to be able to capture those special moments in life any time you want. So, in that vein, the BlackBerry 8320 can use improvement, but in terms of everything else, it's definitely the thing to get!
