Pacific Design iPod NanoGo Wallet - Finishing up

There are basically two ways to carry this case around.  The first, and the one I preferred, is to use the included carabiner clip to suspend the case from your belt loop.

This allows you to easily tilt the case up so you can actually see and adjust what is playing on your iPod, without the need to remove the case. I liked this flexibility, and was able to see the screen of the iPod even when sitting down. The case holds the iPod upside down, which actually makes it appear correctly when viewing it from this angle.

The other method of using this case is with the included wrist strap.  This also works quite well, but I personally didn't like walking around with the iPod in my hand the whole time. The first solution is the best, in my own opinion.

How did I like this case? Well, it wouldn't work well for working out; it would pretty much become an annoyance whether it was bouncing at my hip or held in my hand. But as a "casual/around-town" solution, I believe it fit quite nicely.

And now, the pros and cons for this case:

    Pros:

    • Light
    • Excellent quality
    • Holds iPod Nano securely
    • Also holds ID/credit cards/etc.
    • Integrated Velcro wallet
    • Ingenious design for viewing iPod while wearing case

    Cons:

    • Cable management not too helpful when wearing case

Overall, I give this product a score of 8 out of 10. It's very well made, but is not an appropriate case all of the time. And the cable management could use an elastic band or something to hold the earbuds in place when the cord is wound up.  This would make it more useful in my book.

In addition, I'm going to give this case the Dev Hardware recommended award.  If you need a case for your iPod Nano, for use AWAY from the gym, then this case may be just what you are looking for.

I would like to thank Pacific Design for supplying us with the iPod NanoGo Wallet.  If you would like any more information about the iPod NanoGo Wallet, or any of Pacific Design's other quality products, please visit their website at http://www.pacificdesign.com/pac_nanogo.html.
