Nokia Surge 6790 - Fun features
Internet addicts who can't bear to be offline can stay connected to the net thanks to the Surge 6790's 3G capability. The 6790 has a full HTML browser to allow for easy Internet surfing. Unfortunately, the Surge 6790 does not come with Wi-Fi, so you are limited to Internet connectivity based on where you are in relation to the carrier's 3.5G network.
Now onto some of the more "fun" selling points for the younger crowd. Besides the instant messaging methods, users can also stay in touch with friends via the JuiceCaster app. The JuiceCaster app integrates all major social networking sites such as MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr onto the 6790. With this app, you can constantly stay connected to your pages to post new status updates, messages, or media. This is a great feature to have if you are a fanatic of social networking sites, as most people are today.
To further embed yourself into up-to-the-minute page updates, the Surge 6790 has a 2-megapixel camera that also records video. The camera allows you to customize shooting and change resolution, among other things. Once you have taken your photos, you can upload them immediately to your pages with the JuiceCaster app. Note that if the 120MB of internal memory on the 6790 isn't enough to hold all of your media, the phone does accept 8GB microSD cards as well.
If you are a music or video fan, the Nokia Surge 6790 has a built-in media player that supports most major audio and video formats. You can also listen to FM and XM radio if you choose. The full HTML web browser on the 6790 has Flash Lite support to allow you to watch streaming media from sites like YouTube, or you can use the MobiTV app for even more content.
